WHAT IS REIKI?
An electric like force called Ki in Japan, Ch'i in China, and Prana in India moves along these interconnected electrical pathways of the body. These pathways nourish the organs, glands and energy center (of chakras). The main force that runs through this center is Reiki, the universal life force of all existing things.
Reiki balances the persons body, soul and mind while freeing them of any imbalances they have. Reiki originates from 3000 B.C in Tibet. Mikao Usui, who brought the Reiki System into full development in Japan, rediscovered it in the Indian sutras mid-19th century. It incorporates a number of similar kinds of universal energy sciences from India and Tibet, such as those of Mandala, Yantras and Mantras.
For thousands of years, people in the Far East have tuned to this energy to modify anything and everything, from behavior to serious physical illness to disease. It is highly compatible with traditional medicine, chiropractic, massage, acupuncture and psychotherapy.
Reiki utilizes the bodys own energy while it channels universal energy to increase the bodys own healing powers and bring about general wellness. The human aura is an electromagnetic field that surrounds the physical body. It is divided into seven layers and normally extends two to three feet from the body. One time or another, we have experienced feeling uncomfortable without knowing why or feeling good about someone even though we didn't know them at all. These people were in your aura. When our auras connect, they are silently communicating with each other. This connection allows me to be able to hear and feel children's issues, since they have difficulty expressing themselves to loved ones, and also with infants who are unable to express their needs.

As a Reiki Therapist, I can sense these energies lingering in a building or office space, similar to sensing negative emotional energy in someones body.
